third party ink

Hello to all
what would be the procedure to use 3rd party ink in a VJ 1204 and VJ 1224.
do I need a code to stop using the original ink with chips and allow me to use the other ink

I hope someone help me

Not really sure if any truly reliable options are out there to do this yet. I know several other VJ-1204/1304 users that are looking for a reliable solution. Only thing I could suggest is looking at Grimco's 20/20 inks. The good is that the ink is great with same color profile as OEM and the carts are almost $20/cart cheaper and a direct swap for OEM. (No flushing needed to use them.) The bad is that I have found the chips to be fairly unreliable in that they too often get "Not original ink" errors when you replace a cartridge.

So, for now I'm back to using OEM.
