Thunderbird keeps Freezing during spellcheck

Anyone else having this problem? I see comments when doing a search but no answers. Running XP Pro 32 bit machine. Seems to be happening more and more. Only way out is to force the program to end and restart it. And whatever I was composing is lost so I have to retype everything. I know I could get in the habit of saving a draft before sending but that's a pain, not a solution.

has done that for some time now, have not seen it with this last upgrade and just received new upgrade, Mac user, so it must be in their software since you are Windows user

No problems on this end. Been using Thunderbird since it was released.
