Thunderbird question

Just started using Thunderbird & Firefox. I like firefox alot but I'm have some trouble getting used to Thunderbird. When I reply to a message is there a way to make the cursor go to the top of the page instead of the bottom. I just think that is confusing!

click on setting then click on compisition and then click the little drop down box that says start below quote and change it to above.

does anyone know if/how you can get T-bird to automatically show the most recently received e-mail(s)

right now, it just kinda "hangs" so you have to scroll down to see any new e-mails

other than that, I really like it!
