Tips for banner printing - Mimaki cjv30-100

Hello All

ive been running my business a for a few years printing posters/stickers and car graphics. I am currently branching out into PVC banners, I did a test print and found the print looks bit washed out compared to standard vinyl and poster paper.

can you give any advice on spec switches when printing onto banners, im using raster link and eco solvent inks.

Thanks in advance

Generally speaking, the same settings for Pressure Sensitive Vinyl usually work well for banner too. What kind of banner material is this? If it's a matte banner then this would contribute to some of the dullness. In Mimaki language the name the banner profiles "Tarpaulin" so you could download some of these and try them.

Contact the manufacturer of the banner material and ask them for a banner profile for the Mimaki CJV-30
That should work pretty well.
