To flush or not to flush, that is my question?

I am going to put new ink lines in a SP-300. Is there any good reason to flush the new ink lines with cleaning fluid?

There is not... Any dirt in the tubes would finish it's course in the heads anyway, be it with solvent or ink. Also, do you really need to replace the ink lines ? I'd do it only if one was broken, which happens rarely.

if you need to clean the ink lines just get a refillable clear cart on one side then surge solvent back and forth through the lines with a syringe then exhaust the dirty fluid into the cart and reload the syringe. the printer pumps don't have enough power to create this effect.

Thanks to all for your input. Tubing is cheap, so I just replaced the lines without any flushing. Better safe than sorry. The ole SP-300 is laying down ink like a youngster now.
