top and bottom edge prints do this quite a bit!!!

I would love to know what causes this awful print to happen on my edge le. This particular one is on yellow reflective. It appears in nearly all the bottom numbers and can occur at the top as well. I am running Duracoat super opaque black. I think it is the edges of the foil curling up or something physical rather than a printer issue. Anyone else see this happen...take a look

When I see that it's usually the foil messing up. Not sure if Pat's suggestion would help, but doesn't Duracoat say to use a lower heat setting than Gerber.

A black Sharpie pen will fix that up in a jiffy.

A black sharpie might fix it as far as the look, but that's all fine and dandy if you like giving your customers inferior quality goods. A black sharpie will fade within 1 week outside in the sun. These numbers go on hydro boxes and usually are on forever.

Try lowering the heat setting and see if it helps. I've had that happen before and I (think) that helped...... it's been a while.

Yes it is true that Duracoat can run at lower temps and usually I do. On that last run I actually increased the temp hoping it would help, but only made it worse...lowering all the way to print more. Man I hate screwing up reflective $$$$

Pat is right. Lower your heat. Duracoat requires less heat, and Reflective is a high heat profile. The foil is sticking too well, which is pulling it to one side and causing the wrinkles. If you look at the foil after printing, you'll see the wrinkles.

Hope that helps,

Lie to it like stated above; tell it you are printing on regular 220 vinyl instead of 280 reflective.

I feel bad, I lie to my edge all the time, it thinks it's getting a healthy diet of Edge ready 220, but i'm really feeding it low end 3mil shinerite!
