Can anyone recommend me their preference on transfer tape for cut vinyl on painted drywall. Clear or Paper? Medium Tack or Low? What brand is good? Recently used transferite and it worked on some walls and did not on others so would like your opinion....

I like to use Main Tape Preview Plus GFX-101 but I have a handful of others on hand. Like rTape 4075 and some Transfer Rite is not clear (smells funny) but works ok.

It's better to have two hands than one glove.
A while back I applied a pant load of cut vinyl on freshly painted drywall using R Tape Conform, high tack I believe. I used that because it's all I ever use for anything and everything. The walls had a stipple texture so I used a felt squeegee and went over all of the masked vinyl with a rivet brush, peeled off the application tape, and did the rivet brush again on just the vinyl.

Not a problem, none, nada, zip, zero.

I used main tape to apply a paint mask vinyl mac tac to drywall to paint letters. I found the main tape to be way to sticky . I must be missing something because it felt way to hard to peel . It was my first time using transfer tape. believe it or not I have never used transfer tape always just applied it straight. Thought the tape was going to save bunch of time but it felt like it took the same time as apposed to not using tranfer tape.
I mean its a pain without it and a pain with it.
any help
