Transfer tape not sticking to laminate

Hi, I print car window decals on oracal 651 and use Substance laminate. But, it is hard to weed and when I apply the transfer tape and take it off, the decal does not come with the tape. Any suggestions on a better laminate that will stick to the transfer tape better?

Are you thermal printing?

Unless you are printing there is no reason for a lamination

Try oraguard 210 or 215. Maybe adjust your transfer tape, could be that?

Oracal 651 is not meant to be printed on unless you are using Thermal printing. Even then, laminate is not really needed. Most thermal printed graphics have a lifespan of 3-5 years without lamination.

Or you can use the thermal laminate and it's easy peasy to cut and weed.

Yes, you can certainly add the thermal laminate, but if he is trying to print using solvent or something then he will not get good results.

I was agreeing with you... Basically saying if your printing thermal don't use a film laminate, use the thermal ribbon laminate.
