I have imported a bitmap in Flexi, used the transparency tool to remove the background, and then export to a png, pdf, jpg and eps.
When I import the file into Corel X7 (X5) I cant seem to pick up the transparent background.
Any thoughts?
There is no standard for transparencies, each software package pretty much rolls their own and may or in most cases may not recognize another package's transparency when importing a file. Flexi might support .gif transparencies. And then again, it might not. Try it.
I will assume the jpg you pull into corel has a white background. if thats the case, make a copy, autotrace it, and tell it NOT to remove the background color. once done, the white field will be able to be 'picked up'
Thanks all!,
Yes, the bitmap has a white background.
I ended up reading up on Corel Phot Paint and
used the transparency wand (Just like in Flexi)
Worked great!
