Ugh, typical head in the sand attitude. I am an American, and I love my country just fine. After having traveled 22 countries now for pleasure I would like to say that we could learn so much from so many. Just because we have some amazing things going on here at home doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to information gleaned from elsewhere. We make it a point to try and not buy products with ingredients but instead buy the raw ingredients themselves. Sometimes this is easier than others. With food it would seem one might want to err on the side of caution. 'Murica!

Have to agree with John on this one. My business partner moved here from the UK and absolutely hated living there. He came to this country and became a citizen and would fight and defend America to the death. Hell he's more patriotic than I am. He would be very quick to tell you to go back to the UK if you don't like things here.

You know I am not bashing the states of merikah at all. I am just showing a major concern as to what these branded corporates put in their so called food substances and feed our children this toss.
I have a 7 year old daughter and I pay much concern as to what she eats today.I try and buy organic at all times and local produce.
How the FDA get away with crimes like this is beyond me.
And on a side note why is it every time a bit of truth exposed itself you yankees get so wound up and defensive.Look how many people around you are sick and how many commercials you have on TV promoting these drugs that fuel the pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies.Wake up.

Ask the next patriotic American what they think about their own country. Ask them what they think about the President, if they respond favorably ask them what they thought about the last president. Pointing out a HUGE National problem that we are in the midst of is not bashing it is trying to effect change in some way, it is patriotic. Burring our heads is the least patriotic thing that we could do. I thought it was a great thing to point out.

And after owning many horses and cattle I still don't understand why we can eat one and not the other. I have seen so many horses put down and the meat was perfectly good yet goes to waste, it seems a shame but that is a whole different conversation. That being said it is however ridiculous that it shows up in products sold as beef, that is nothing less than a scandal. Luckily they aren't turning a blind eye and have identified their problems and are addressing them.

Tell me what difference Horse meat is to Cow meat or Pig Meat or even Fish Meat. Its all from Animals? And what has you kicking people like me out? have to do with any of this. Another angry person we have here.
Ok I get it you would rather eat your clown food, king food or Colonel food(That cannot even be called Chicken for legal reasons as it is not Chicken) and continue to feed your children this GMO Puke.What is wrong with a bit of education.

I took heart to your first post in not the food advice. Your heading was UKvsUSA and I pointed out about the horse meat problem the UK just had where the meat was even in the lunches at school. Don't try and turn it around, you bash this country as much as possible and try to get threads going for your giggles. You need to write your congress person with your problems if you really have any or start a grassroots blog. Your probably not even a true Englishman as I have stated before but a commonwealth emigrant. So don't go looking in somebodies backyard for dog dropping smell when you don't pick up your dog's droppings in your own yard.

what the hell is this thread about? didn't want to spend my day reading a link. did an overview of it. what are you pointing out? stuff in our food? you can buy meat grown by local farms. you can buy veggies the same way or by organic. if you buy Hot Pockets, probably going to get saw dust added so what?
