UL/UL-C Standards

We've been doing oilfield and manufacturing industry signs and labels for years, both eco-solvent printed and screen printed, with no issues. Recently we had a very good customer come back to us with an order of 500 reflective labels (Avery HV 1200 white) we had just printed for him. The labels, which we have made for him for years, are applied to large storage tanks that they manufacture themselves. Apparently, the guy who inspected the tanks would not certify the tank because the customer could not show that these labels comply to UL standards for flammability! I downloaded the spec sheets from Avery, which shows heat and flame testing specs, but this wasn't good enough because it wasn't UL rated! Soooooo.... my question is, does anybody here print specific decal stock that is UL rated? If so, which brand/product number? I am mostly interested in reflective, but other vinyls would be good too.

Thanks for any info. :thumb:

dunno about the great white north, but here it should be NFPA rated, not UL

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) has safety rating for almost everything, and in this case, we need our product to be UL rated. However, after doing a little more digging, I need more info from the customer, namely which UL rating we have to conform to.
