Unsticking of Drytac Polar Mono vinyl.

Hello,

For some time for outdoor billboards we use the Polar Monomeric 3.2mil Drytac vinyl, and there is a regular real problem of its unsticking. Drytac is less expensive and we wanted to try it.

Could someone give his point of view on this, please?

I'd say the problem lies in the manufacturer's description on their website. A 2 year outdoor lifespan. It's designed for very temporary use. It also comes with a removable adhesive, which I find basically means no real adhesive. I've had removable adhesives fail in less than a year even in indoor applications.

Do you mean it's failing prematurely or are you having issues removing it?

I'm looking into using this material so I'd be interested to hear how it holds up.

Usually our panels are permanent but not temporary installations, so this vinyl unsticking is a real problem for us.

Thank you very much.. we will check with our supplier that the glue of this vinyl is really permanent.
