The sign will not be a problem for this guy, a problem can be the fact that the market for used cars has changed, and you have websites where it's much easier to buy used cars. He might struggle with customers, and if he is counting on the old people he shouldn't. Even that ship has sailed, I saw my father looking at cars online, and he is in the old people category. Covid-19 has made this switch possible, and when it passes people will already be used to the new thing. I think this is an improvement.
