Using a die for cutting out patches?

We just got a very large order for patches. We normally cut them out with scissors but this job would be too hard to do that way. I was thinking of having a die made and use an arbor press to cut them out.

Are there any other options?

I used to do design work for a manfacturer of athletic clothing, and he used a cnc laser to cut the cloth lettering.

Laser or cutter and then overlock (unless it's for applique pieces).

If you are doing these with a satin stitch border rather then an overlock, laser to also seal the stitches from fraying.

We are not going to overlock them. We were going to use a heat gun for sealing the edge. Wish we had a laser though.
