What do you mean by Inserts? Referring to the Pattern Fills in the Color?

Right click on the far right or left arrow of the currently open color palette and click on Open Table and then select the Library folder... tons of colors.

You create them. Create a pattern you like in a new file... Select the objects you create and click on VIEW>COLOR>DEFINE PATTERN. This new pattern is now in your current swatch table. Double click on it to edit further.
