ValueJet 1324 stops printing in the middle of a job

We had our machine for a few years now and it has been running great. Recently the machine would stop printing in the middle of a job or toward the end of a job. The display shows "printing" but the head does not move. We wait for hours to see if it will resume but it does not. When we cancel the job and reprint it, it prints fine. We wasted a lot of material and time with this issue. It does not happen every time, maybe once or twice a day on large jobs, of course!
Any idea what cause this issue?

How your printer does connectet to PC? Directly or with HUB?
Please check network setting. It can be caused by collision.

I would also suggest making sure nobody has turned on a screen saver or has turned on the option of the computer going to sleep after x amount of time.

Try reduce Network connection to 10mbps. Which rip are you using? I had that problem too with a 1204 with RAM board faulty
