Versacamm 540

I have access to a blown versacamm model sp-540v from a local bankruptcy I know I can get it for dirt cheap I know the shop went belly up because he had no insurance and supposedly had a power surge and the printer is blown nobody checked it out but I heard around town it was the main board but nothing is for sure. The printer has been idle for like 3 months with inks on board. do you think I should invest my time into it usually Im pretty good to fix stuff on my own or maybe sell it for parts.

the printer is in western ontario canada, the bank has open the bidding for local sign shops only and we are only 2 so I think I can get it for a grand or so its about 4 years old.

what do you think, is it something to look at ?
