Versacamm sp 540v service call 0110 detailed problem

Hi, I have a very detailed question about my RolandVersaCamm sp540v, I keep getting the service call 0110 message every time I turn my printer on....however, i have just replaced the encoder strip to try and resolve the problem and it still gives me the 0110 message every time I power up the printer or every time it goes to do a self cleaning, the only way the printer starts up without saying the message is if you clean the right hand side of the encoder strip which doesn't make sense because the strip is brand new with no ink or scratches on it, I have done a calibration test as well as an encoder strip test and it shows that it reads the strip well so no solution still, the only gut feeling I really have is that the encoder sensor eye needs to be changed I have not done that yet, it is pretty old and has been taken out and cleaned many times over the years, any thoughts?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I have read on here that sometimes you need to align the sensor eye after changing the encoder strip.

I have also read:

After you "clean" your encoder do an ENVIRONMENTAL MATCH to help recalculate the Encoder Reader....and do the ENV Match a few times during the month to help hold the settings.

Do a search and see if you can find the post that talks about the alignment, like I said, I think I read something about that not to long ago.

If that does not work for you, you may also need to do the Limit and Cut Down Position adjustment.

PM me with your number and I will call and try to help. Will be available through 2pm EST today.
