VG-540 Sheet Set Error

Anyone had the error "SHEET SET ERROR" on the screen when loading media?
This is a VG-540 and my customer is over 350 miles away. I have a few ideas, but want to try and cover all my bases before making the drive....

Actually the XJ senses the edges of the media and the VG senses the pinch wheels.

Try the limit position calibration, clean the encoder strip, check the pinch wheel sensor in sensor check mode, also check the front and rear paper sensors. Does it do it with all widths of media
I know what you mean. I've made those long trips only to find that it's operator error.

I have a VG2 640 and am having the same error (sheet set error set again). Has anyone figured out what the fix is please?
