ok, so I have had a SP300i , loved it forever,

I bought a low hours roland VG540I
but the inks are empty , so what are the inks ? there are 8 cartridges
here is the model number ldr-1471

This would depend on how it was inked up earlier. There were a few options available. The most common were CMYKx2 and CMYKlclmlk. Did you ask the previous owner?

Mine is the standard set up. - light cyan, cyan, light magenta, magenta, yellow, black, light black, & cleaning liquid. I use Solaris inks from Fellers vs the Roland brand as they are much cheaper & still
do a really good job. If you want to set it up for white or metallics, I would contact a roland dealer for help with changing out lines.
