Vintage Dairy Queen Sign

Saw this at an antique store yesterday. This pan face is one of the most original sign faces for Dairy Queen. Priced at only $695, I was expecting around $2,000. Must be a quick sale. Heck a metal Gulf sign 1/3 the size all rusted out and hard to read was priced at $900.

This thing was huge.

Since we're not talking wine here, what constitutes this thing as being 'vintage' ??

That particular logo began in the 60's and was rebranded around 2000 or so, but is still used at many locations. So, it's not necessarily an old sign as it was still being manufactured and distributed in 2001. Can understand why it didn't go for $2,000. Heck, it didn't even cost that back then and who collects vac-formed Dairy Queen faces ??

Nice sign, but not what most would consider 'vintage'.

These are more along the lines you expecting.

Those are very old, anything with exposed neon really. But you don't know if it's from the 60's or 2000's. The wear and tear on it appears to be at least 20 years old.

Only $695 eh? If anyone were to pay that for that thing they should beat their guide dog. What the hell good is it? It isn't worth hauling to the dump.
