Vinyl advances to far at start

Vinyl advances to far at start of the cut of file.
Loosing 1-5/8 at the start of cut can`t figure out how
to get it to start at the begining of the sheet.
CE 5000 40- Cutting master plug in Illustrator.

PS works fine on the desktop but not the laptop.

Do you have the machine set on roll 1? or roll 2? When you put the vinyl in the machine it will say roll1, roll 2 or sheet. Press position arrow up until it says roll 1.
