Vinyl on Lexan (lit sign)

I have a customer wanting us to put vinyl on a used sign that he's removed the previous vinyl from.

He supplied me with the .eps file, and I'm good to go. The lettering has an outline. Should I double layer, or should I put the outline up to the letters?

I normally layer, but since it's a lit sign I wasn't sure that that would be the right way to go.

Depends if the outline is black, you can go over, but not any other color.

Make sure you use Translucent vinyl

I wouldn't layer as you will have the color of the back layer come thru changing the colour of the front layer when the sign is turned on.
I also agree with Translucent vinyl and I always apply on the inside if on clear and flood coat last with translucent white. Looks heaps better than slapping it on the outside.

Use translucent vinyl, don't layer, but give a slight trap on the outline, yes it will have a slightly darker line, but depending on the colors involved and viewing distance it usually doesn't matter.
