vinyl on rubber coated laptop lid

Hi,
I've tried to put a vinyl on rubber coated laptop (IBM) lid and i found that it doesn't stick well on that surface. It can be easily removed/peeled off by using my fingernail.

Any ideas to make it more sticky on this kind of substrate?
