Vinyl peeling from ACM

We recently had some signs come back, with the corners peeling up.

I printed on FDC 7242, laminated with 7010, and then mounted to ACM. It was printed on an HP 750, so outgassing isn't required. It is also faded pretty bad, after only being outside for a few months.
We tried to convince the customer to let us just direct print, but they insisted on the old school way.

Any suggestions on a different material/lam?

They are being install outside, with full sun daily.

Thanks!!

i've never used that vinyl before, but i just looked it up... We never ever put intermediate vinyl outside for anything other than a VERY short term / temporary sign. I know the manufacturer says you can, but its going to shrink, and the more ink on it, the more likely its going to fail fast.

you can reprint on cast / or a high performance calendared (we love arlon 4600lx) and use a cast lamination.

I've had limited experience with the FDC material. But I haven't cared much for it personally. It may be a good material that is just different from what I prefer, but it seems to be harder to handle. I've been slowly moving our company over to Avery and Oracal as we need to restock, since the price point has been about the same.
