49.5" media, easy to find... Pretty common actually. Fits perfectly in a 48" Printer... The folks who make media know what size printers are out there...

I smell another "Vinyl Bandit".
What is it that makes so many people think you by a printer and a computer and your a sign shop and going to make easy money???
Why not buy a couple flower pots and some seeds and become a Florist!!!

He He " Vinyl Bandit"
Mind you starting a post "hi can anyone recommend a good printer, for vinyl printing??"
This certainly doesn't inspire confidence in his new business.
It's easy being a signmaker......NOT
Maybe buy some seeds of Bob!?

Anything that goes through a roll fed printer off a roll is 'media' in my part of the world.
Anything you apply a printed 'media' to is a 'substrate'.
Or you can call both or either a media or a substrate a 'material'.
