Vinyl Recommendation?

Sorry if this is so basic, but it's something that has been giving us grief lately.

When you have an order for printed/contour cut vinyl for walls & windows, what vinyl would you recommend? For example, corporate logo in full color, etc. The reason I'm asking is we would typically use a removeable calendared vinyl. We like Briteline's Rad Graphix for full walls, especially for customer installs because of its thickness. However, while the native vinyl will mask properly, once printed (Latex), the ink makes it impossible to adhere to the transfer tape. It simply won't pull off the liner - the transfer tape pulls away from the printed vinyl. We've tried other media with siliconized liner, but that releases too easily, and makes weeding tricky. Plus, the transfer tape doesn't stick to it, so we get some messy curling of the tape as it curls away form the liner after application. Looks like crap when hand off to the customer. Doesn't lay flat.

Is there a basic, removeable vinyl that cuts well, adheres to transfer tape, and holds the tape to the backing securely?? Also, we've found a gray back works best for windows because of its opacity. What are you folks using for print/contour cutting wall & window grapics?

Thanks for any advice/help. We're pulling our hair out with what I think is something so simple.

Lots of gray area for walls...without knowing more I'll stay on the sidelines.

As for windows, you should try Drytac's Polar Smooth 150 Air. It is AWESOME. 6mils thick with a clear removable adhesive on an air-egress liner. Cuts well, crazy easy to apply (charge your normal rate for installation and pocket the rest). Because it is 6mils thick it is pretty opaque, but not 100%...but it looks a lot nicer from the inside as opposed to gray adhesive. And...it can be applied in temps down to -5 degrees. $400 for a 54"x150'

It seems like the problem is your application tape, not the vinyl. They make application tapes with different levels of adhesion, and that will adhere to the release liner paper.

This, and also the fact that you're trying to stick with removable films for some reason?

For windows & walls we generally stick to 3M 40C or 3M IJI80cv3. Paired with a high tack premask like TransferRite 992U.

Thank you everyone - we'll look at each of these responses individually. Regarding removeable, I was always under the impression this was the standard for windows, and preferred for walls (because of the less destructive removal). Has always been our thought track, though I have no idea where that originated.

I had spoken with Grimco about transfer tape adhesive strength when we had the problem, and was told what we were using should be fine (R Tape) - that there wasn't much difference. Didn't sound right, so we'll have a look at that as well.
