mutoh vj-1604 print issue

Hello there!

Mutoh vj-1604 not printing any colors.
Tried cleaning head, pulled ink from each damper still nothing...
Any suggestions?

If you look at the actual sub tank and it looks empty as if it were vacuum sealed (really flat) them i would check the two sensors that are located on the top and bottom of each subtank if they are blocked or dirty they will prevent the little pump from refilling the tanks.

It is the sub tank valve that will be sticking.
I have replaced these on my 1604 twice now and it still comes up occasionally with this error.
Normally knocking it off and on again clears this, if it doesn't replace the sub tank valves.
On a further note I believe due to the age of these machines (1604s were the first large Valuejets) the contacts that make the connection to say the sub tank is full are failing.
The sub tank bags are not as flexible as when they were new this causes the issue above.
