Thanks for the reply!
I just restarted it. After looking closer, it seems that the heater works, but is turning off once it starts printing. I checked all the settings at the printer and the media profile in the rip. I'm lost, and falling behind. Ugh.

sounds like it might be overheating...then shutting down. On a PC that symptom means you have a bad cooling fan, but it could be a sensor/regulator of some kind not detecting the temp correctly. Not sure if that is a serviceable part or if you have to replace the whole enchilada (platen heater)

I opened it up to look for loose connections, something that looks fried, etc...
I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. Now it seems to not turn on at all. I would think it wouldn't even print until it got to temperature, so something in there isn't telling the heater to turn on, and telling the printer it's up to temp.
Anyone know what the part is?!

Check that your heater strips are not open circuit, if they are, replace. If OK, check their connectors, might just be a be a loose contact somewhere. You might also have a bad heater relay board. Btw, make sure your unit's power cords are unplugged when you do this.

Check your RIP, RIP settings override the printer.

So if you have temp set on the printer and off (or lower) in the RIP, the RIP rules.

Thanks guys. It turned out to be a ghost. All settings were good. The next morning everything was fine, and has been since.
