Our VJ 1604 has been running flawlessly for over a year, but recently it started doing something odd - the print head travels the entire width of the carriage even on very narrow prints. For example, if I send a 5" wide print, it will print the 5" and carry on all the way to the far end of the carriage before coming back. This makes printing smaller items extremely time consuming.
We have not changed any parameters on the printer, nor performed any firmware upgrades. There have been a couple of power outages. We use Onyx 7.2, but the problem appears to be hardware based as even the various test patterns kicked off from the VJ exhibit the same issue.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
