VJ1324 Nozzle issue?

OK, so I tried something different to see if I could narrow things down a bit.. My stupid self didnt take a picture, but I will tomorrow. What I did, was created 4 vertical 12in wide lines, 24in tall with a 1in gap in between. 100% of each (CMYK). The magenta starts yellow at the bottom, and then prints magenta about 2 inches up, but its still very fuzzy and all around crappy. Cyan prints absolutely nothing. Yellow is a faded funky greenish, and black is reddish yellow. So then, I recreated it and made the lines horizontal, when I printed, the first line should have been black, but it was the same reddish yellow as before, but this time it didnt create a gap and change to the next color. What should have been a 12in tall line, was continuous. I'll post a pic of them tommorow. This is freaking weird. The right colors are all getting to the dampers.

Head is blocked due to been left standing?!! SC

Idk how. Looking at the sponge on the capping station (that was just replaced) all of the colors are there, including cyan, from where I did the ink charges after I replaced the dampers.

How old is the print head?
Heads last between 2 - 5 years all depending on how well the machine is kept and that it is used a lot.
I find that if I have even one blocked nozzle I will not stop until it is clear.
Putting lots of prints through these machines seems to make them last longer. I know this sounds crazy but since converting my machine to run bulk inks the cost of printing is peanuts as ink costs, I am down to as low as $40 a litre.

My 1604 is now 9 year old, it has had the head replaced once and maintenance station every year for the last 5 years.
I have replaced the rear electric valves (on the bigger machines for the sub tanks) twice, but still it comes up with sub tank low messages. I believe the sub tanks are not expanding as well as when they were new so no longer hit the contacts properly.
It has still got the same dampers it came from the factory still installed and working fine.

Everything you are stating is pointing to blocked nozzles on the print head and if not cleared straight away can block the head permantley.
As long as you have mounted the maintenance station properly, as you can mount it in such a way as it is not seating on the head flat and not getting a good seal.

Fit a new print head and fit a OEM head cable and you should be up and running again.
You have tried everything else so it would seem this is the issue.
