VP-300 stopping to clean too much

Just replaced a black cartridge and now it stops every 20" or so to clean - yes it says Cleaning>>>. So, chips, firmware? It's 3.0 and will update it but the Roland site is down. What if that doesn't work? Any other options?

Is your periodical cleaning is turned on? It should do that unless you have PC turned on.

If you can get into service mode you can turn it from normal to light and change the interval.

It is set to none. Finding it has to do with the chips. I took one off an old "good" cartridge and now it runs fine. These are new Roland inks too. Will update firmware when I can. Any other thoughts?
