I'm looking to buy either a second hand vp-300i or vp540i but I'd like to print in cmyk as well as white and metallic. I've seen cartridges and references to CMYK, Lm, Lc, white, and silver inks. And even on the Roland website for these printers they reference how to print using these inks.

But looking at their manuals always references CMYK only and only 4-color cartridge system.

So how do you get 8 colors to support Lm/Lc/White/Metallic ink?

    VP only supports CMYK.

    VS supports additional channels.
