VP-540i or XC 540?

Hi guys, i have been looking for print and cut machines for a while. The price of the VP-540 is going up like crazy in UK as the Japanese Yen is so high at the moment. Last year from £11,049 to early this year 12,599 till recently 13,800. In one year the price gone up £2751. Therefore i am now considering second hand machines as well.

The VP-540i upgrade makes the machines much faster. Should i get a new VP-540i or second hand XC540. Their price are almost the same.

The price for new Vp-540i is £13,800 and second hand XC540 is £13,995 with 3 months warranty. What is the advantages of having XC? As the VP-540i has speeded up. Are they almost the same speedwise?
