VP 540v.... No suction >>> Bad Damper?

I am getting no suction when pulling from below the cap on the Magenta head.
The print head is barely printing.
Could this be a bad damper?
Where is the best source for instructions on changing the damper?

No suction from below means the cap top is bad. Once you get a new one in it should pull the ink down.

Thank you for responding. I have tried 2 new cap tops. Same thing going on. I've never had an issue with cap tops being bad out of the box.
Where else would air be coming into the system?

Is there ink in the lines before the damper?

If you are just pulling air and the cap top is new, there could be an air leak between the damper and the ink line or there just isn't ink in the lines at all. When you pull the syringe, you should be able to see the damper compress slightly. If it isn't then air is getting in somewhere.
