Hi All,
Have the roland vp540 up and running. It is missing the safety cover in front but I wonder if it actually helps with the drying or not. It seems like it would. I thought I read somewhere that many people don't have it installed anymore??? Read so much helpful info this forum I thought I would ask.
Details: .............................................................................................................................
Gathering parts to make a new clear cover but I admint the main reason is I am hoping that it will help dry smaller sized decals that seem to be peeling up. I am sure it helps, but unsure how appreciably improved.
I am in Michigan so it is colder in and out and I was thinking the cover might help keep in the heat from the dryer and reduce the problem enough so MAYBE if I put a print delay on it from versaworks maybe it would get rid of the problem?
I am so happy it is printing, and I just adjusted the cutter blade and used the 1/2 credit card thickness starting point so the knife isn't grabbing it. I put in a new 45degree knife with .025 offset.
I am just wondering if it is realistic to print a few small stickers, leave it in the machine a little while and wait or if I will just have to just start using those alignment marks, using more vinyl. I have not done a print, remove and reinstall/cut only yet, I was unsure how accurate or realistic that is considering the smaller prints I am making with. It does cut quite intricately but it grabs the vinyl.
Thank you !
