VS-640i Pre Cut Issue

Hi i have a roland vs-640i and some ppf pre cut softwares. But i can't cut the ppf bc some programs can't open some programs need usb connection. I need to get the answer that can i use this programs with this roland bc some dealers says its okey u can cut but some dealers says no u need to be usb connection. Vs-640i dont have a usb port only ethernet. Can i use some converter ethernet port to usb ? Do you have a info ? Cavaca pre cut software need this firstly.

Using the printer RIP, VersaWorks has nothing to do with the connection. The printer is an ethernet connection printer. I don’t understand what you’re asking about using a program that only requires USB. You may have a program that uses a USB dongle and that is more like probably what is going on.

When I want to select Roland for cutting while using the Cavaca program, it does not appear in the Cavaca program and tells me that I need to use USB for connection. We dont use the Versaworks program for pre-cut. Each pre-cut program developer has created their own cutting section within their own program. They say vs-640i supports it but I can't do it, that's the problem.

I do not know Cavaca.
Just create your file with a cut line in it in your design program and save it as a EPS or PDF, and bring it into Versa works. Go to the job settings cut controls and just change it to cut only and it should work.
it has to be a PDF or EPS to work in the cut path has to be labeled CutContour fot VW to see it.
