Need Help VS640 cutting in a strange sequence

I am hoping someone can help.

I have created a design on Canva, downloaded it as a PNG and opened it in Illustrator. I have then done an Image Trace to change it to an object and added the Roland Cut Contour. I've then saved it as a .eps

When I load the .eps into Roland and choose Cut Only, it is cutting in a random sequence. This means the vinyl is going in and out constantly. For example, today it spit out 3metres of vinyl to cut 1 letter and then pulled the full 3 metres back in to cut another letter at the other end. Irt just kept doing that.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get it to cut in order instead of it randomly going up & down and left & right?

The sequence can't be changed in Versaworks. In designated cut software like Gosign for Summa cutters, you can reorder the cutting sequence and even the direction. If there is a solution to your problem, you need a tool (that I don't know of) for Illustrator to change the sequence, or you need to replace Versaworks as your cut software (I guess SAI Flexisign could do that.)

I sell stickers and sticker accessories.
The cut will go in the order of cut paths in the layers palette in illustrator.
If I remember correctly, I believe the top most object is cut last.
Also save as a PDF, and use the Artboard/Page size as the boarder of your image.
For an EPS, if there are blank paths outside of your main artwork, VersaWorks will find them.
Anything not on the Artboard in a PDF, VersaWorks will ignore.

Do you know if there is anyway in illustrator to reorder the layers in illustrator?
