Well, yesterday I had the pleasure of installing a wall mural we printed for Dan at Graphic D-Signs. It's a wallscapes mural, that Dan's illustrator put together. I wanted to do the install personally, since it's unpasted, and our installers are more vinyl install experts.
I'll let Dan chime in with the photos and brag a bit (he deserves it).
What became obvious the minute I stepped into the place, is the level of talent he has working with him. As someone who appreciates good design, and the amount of work that goes into it, I have to say he has a grand slam setup there. From the open collaboration of the office arrangement to the assemblage of design talent, I was truly impressed beyond words. They have literally elevated building signs, into building images and brands.
Should you have any question about Dan's ability to handle your shop's marketing, it's foolish to even question. The sheer number of heads thinking on each project is astounding. Ideas were flying, comps built, HTML tags used and abused, images tweaked, and brands discussed at length. All that in the short window of time I was there installing. Imagine the stuff that happens in a full week!
Admittedly, I have for years resisted (as a creative type) having someone else work our own image. My business has suffered as a result. As I have grown, I realize that it's Ok, and a good idea, to hire someone smarter, more capable, or experienced to handle something you could do yourself. This is not an easy thing for any of us to do.
So, I set you forth to consider your next 10 years, and how your shop positions itself in your market. When you are ready to step it up, Dan and his team of experts should be at the top of your list to consider handling your branding and marketing.
