I had to make that same decision... and I chose NO.
Reason being, my printer was running fine, and I had heard that in one year, it'd be highly unlikely to have that much in breakdowns. Depends on if you know your printer or not though. My first year..... I saved thousands. Now on my second year, I know better how to take care of it and milk it's life out, and don't have NEAR as many breakdowns as before.
You comfortable with your machine yet? Clean it regularily? If so, I'd say forget the warranty. If you're still having issues with it, by all means, it could save you some money. It's up to you, as only you know how much it has broken down in the past and how familiar you are with your equipment.
