Wasatch for a VP-540

I have a year old VP-540 that has all of the same features as the "i" model, RIPC, etc. I am wondering if it would be worth spending the money on a Wasatch RIP? Just trying to debate if the profiling options and workflow would be worth it. I have also been looking into getting a Xrite i1extreme color calibration system as well.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Matt- I have Wasatch 6.1 or 2 that I bought for my VP- never got it to
print without banding before spring when I had to go into production. I
finally switched to Vworks as I had run out of screw around time. I always
liked Wasatch on my SP300, better than I like VW now. I have to assume
that they have worked out the problem but Wasatch cannot find any evidence that I and one of their techs worked on it for 3-4 months (then
he left) -not sure what version they are on now or what it would cost to
upgrade but I could be talked to about letting it go. I also have an i1 pro-
which I believe to be the same as the extreme. Gene
