Watch yourselves- cyber attack on the loose

Just a heads up- really serious cyber attack going on right now. Beware of anything that tells you that you have a virus (as should always be). Details here :

I hadn't heard much about it, but it looks nasty, saying that it's worked it's way into hundreds of thousands of PC's.

No april fools, real stuff.

I've had to remove a good dozen or more of these in the last couple of months,...seems the local newspaper site got infected (they refused to admit it but somebody fixed it if that tells ya anything) and the rogue av software was everywhere around these parts

edited to add if a site tries to ask you if you want to do a scan don't click anywhere in the window,hit ctrl-alt-del and use task manager to stop the application(web browser and install) otherwise it'll install itself whether you want it to or not,even if you select the no or cancel option.Don't ask me how I came by this pearl of wisdom and I won't have to tell a lie,....
