Those of you that are my friends on facebook probably already know this but I wanted to show off my 1 month old daughter to everyone here on S101.

She was born Oct. 8, 5lb 15oz, 19.25". Her name is Emery Noelle

I couldn't be more proud!! & I absolutely wouldn't trade her for anything!

Anyway, the photographer entered her pic in a contest to win a hat and there is a close race between her and one other baby boy. Please help us win her a new hat

She's beautiful, and I know you're proud, but be careful entering random online photo contests. More and more of them are being set up with rules in the fine print that give them the rights to the photos.

The contest offers up a prize (which may or may not be awarded) and the photos get put up for sale on stock photography sites.

Concerning entering the contest, the photographer who we have worked with previously wanted to take some pictures of Emery to build her portfolio so we let her, got all the rights to the pics with the agreement that she could use them for her portfolio and promotional pieces. The photographer never uses her name on anything, she is just a cute anonymous baby. Anyway the photographer is who actually put her pic in the contest, but has told my wife and I that if she wins she will have the prize sent to us. The lady that is putting on the contest is local also and the supplier of hats to the photographer.

Maybe I am missing something but I just really don't see much to be concerned about.
