Got im Himmel! Just spent 3 hours 15' in the air in the high school gym, with no air and high humidity and it's raining out - my clothes are wet, my hair is wet, nothing on me is dry. First hour was basketball with 100 kids, 2nd hour was baseball, 3rd hour was back to basketball. My head was only feet from the buzzer. Game of the day was "every 10 seconds switch hands dribbling when you hear the buzzer - every 10 seconds" I think I might be deaf. Kids were taking my stuff, I got hit with basketballs and baseballs, I spent 20 minutes clearing an area for the lift from Basketball and baseball crap then another 15 clearing another area of backpacks and shoes.

Today I learned I would NOT make a good teacher!!!

But the job is done so on to the next one! LOL

That sounds like hell.

Yesterday I worked from 6am-10pm on one job. Put up 4 sets of channel letters, a 30' long caninet w/ flex. got rained on twice so everything on me was soaking wet. Spent an hour in a parapet wall during one of the storms... my wet clothes cleaned the years of dust off those beams in the wall... hit my head a few times. At the end we changed out some faces on a pole sign and the only way you could remove the retainer was all up against a tree... spent 30 mins trimming and cutting branches (now I have sawed wood all over my wet clothes) and finally got the job done... minutes before another storm came. 2 hour drive home... that shower never felt so good.

It's a miserable job sometime... but that's why you charge $$$$$$

Quit buggin' me
Had a really bad day here too. My internet was super slow - ruined the whole day.

Actually had to work on a customer's truck that has about an 8" lift on it (36" tires). I needed a 3 step just to get into the bed and we were installing a roof rack. Had to lean way over on a 10ft ladder to clear the running boards.
Drilled 10 holes in the roof and set rivnuts to get the thing installed.
Seemed a lot easier to balance on a step ladder while using a drill in my youth......

We in the pnw are under an unprecedented heat wave. No outdoor installs this week. Broke an all time record today for highest temperature ever! Fortunately, we have good climate control at work. Inside .
Ps, Bouduca@night does not have good ac, 91 degrees in my house at 9pm. Working on that. This just doesn't happen in June!

After I figured out the invoice vs estimate, it looks like I over estimated...FOR ONCE! LOL I'll knock a little off but just enough to make me look good. They just emailed how great of a job I did and they will be having me do this yearly - LOL can't wait! Next time, like Gino said, I'm going to do this when the gym is open or the wrestling coach can be there and make sure all the crap is moved and I'm not disturbed. Made good money so shower and move on!
