What colour work table top do I want?

I am having a 4'X8' piece of glass delivered tomorrow for my new homemade work bench. The top is 3/4" MDF. I was placing some old stock of WHITE Oracal 341 down for under the glass and then started to second guess that choice. Do I want a darker (black) colour or lighter, or leave it natural wood coloured (what I have had in the past)?
Any suggestions?

I will be using the table for masking, cutting, layout etc. Pretty much everything. And I already know that I should have seperate tables for that stuff, but I'm limited to space. I'm just happy to have a 39" high work table to help save my back a little. I'm nearly 6'4" so this is going to be great for me.

17% grey...

not kidding, actually... light to medium grey will work the best, in my opinion...

gray or off white to light yellow.or maybe a light blue bout the color of the backing paper on white vinyl.

I have some of that too. It was from the same job that the purple was for.
