I am looking at buying a MUTOH Rockhopper 38.

Any comments?

What should I look for?

Any major problems?

Thanks everyone.

I have one and it performs very well.
Make sure it prints clean. Good nozzle check and test print.
The more you print the better it prints.
You will learn to fix problems yourself.
The RIP is important.
Parts are available.
Slower than most but does a nice job.

I absolutely agree with Mr. Jackpine. Make sure you get a good Nozzle Check. Have the seller print something of some substance and check for any anomolies in the output that may be caused by a mechanical failure. You will be able to tell by looking at the machine as the how the owner has generally maintained the machine. As long as you use this machine frequently you will have few problems with it. Keep it clean and print on it as much as possible... Parts are readily available, stay away from 3rd party parts always using factory parts... It is somewhat slow compared to it's younger sibling, the ValueJet but alot of folks have made alot of money with this printer... Good Luck...
