What is causing this?

Can someone please tell me what may be causing the lines in the ink? in the picture you will see. what can i do to fix it?

that is called banding, you may need to change your print mode, to a higher resolution if you can, head could be partially plugged, etc...

You need to figure out what's causing it. Like Chopper said, it could be dirty/plugged nozzles, improper feed calibration, etc... What's your test print look like?

does your test print show that you have a plugged head?
the best thing to do would be to re post under what type of printer you have, say roland or mutho etc, and then those who own this type of printer could help you with your issues much easier than those of use who may use a different brand of printer,
