I've got some numbers that I need to install and can't find the hardware that was supplied.

3/16" is pretty well the standard, unless the letters are exceptionally heavy, then they may use 1/4". Aluminum or stainless should work. Limestone is stupid soft, so careful to avoid overdrilling the holes. Bring some tooth picks in case you need to fill in the hole to straighten the letter back up. Like here, it looks like the 5 is a little low on the left hand side.

3/16" is the typical size of the hole drilled.

The studs themselves are likely 10-24 threaded rod ("studs") and will thread into the backs of the letters/numbers. If the existing are 10-24 and you only have 10-32 (or vice versa), those can still be threaded into the holes in the letter, you'll just need to do it with pliers or chuck the studs in a drill.

I usually spec stainless steel when going into something tough. And if it's in a place people can grab it add some construction adhesive instead of silicone
