What material for a back car window decal

Drip Dry

New Member
I have to print a couple of hundred clear decals for a school. They are 6 x 6 and will be put on the back windows of cars
Seems that most people that will apply them, never did it before.

If I print it on regular vinyl, I just see it as bubble and wrinkle city.

What type of material should I use ?

I'm going to print on clear from the Gerber Edge since I need to print white. Gerber will print on almost anything so
that's not a concern

not sure if there is an air release clear vinyl available for the edge, I know Mactac makes a 54" clear with air release.

have you considered making a installation instruction sheet on how to wet apply a decal with soapy water?

Print on Gerber ImageCal P and don't even think about it...everything will turn out perfectly!

Gerber "Imagecal" or "Snappy" removable would be my recommendation. Both print well. Imagecal is very soft and conformable. Snappy is priced about the same, and it's stiffer film that applies easier and is less prone to wrinkling. I've also had some complaints about the liner on Imagecal being too light to handle more than 1 or 2 colors. Both products are made for the Edge.
