We have a place around the corner that had new faces made for their pylon sign. We watched the installers struggle about half a day to get them in because the made them too big. So instead of bringing a saw and cutting the faces down to fit they crammed them into the retainers and screwed them in as they went along. Attached is a photo on how much they are buckling even on moderately warm days. I think I know what is eventually going to happen, do you?
Also, you can't tell by the photo but the face is out of square and crooked by about an inch from side to side.
